1.General provisions
HoolyMarket (the "Service", "we") is a prediction market platform where users buy and sell shares in the outcomes of future events in politics, the economy, sports, esports, culture and other topics.
These terms, together with the Privacy Policy and the rules of individual markets, form an agreement between you and the Service. If you do not agree with them, do not use the Service.
Certain features — combos, the referral program, rewards — may have their own additional rules. These are published on the pages of those features and supplement these terms.
2.Who can use the Service
To open an account and trade, you confirm that:
- you are at least 18 years old and have full legal capacity;
- the laws of the country where you are located do not prohibit you from participating in prediction markets;
- you are not subject to sanctions and are not acting on behalf of persons who are;
- you use the Service on your own behalf and do not open multiple accounts.
We may request verification of your identity and age, and may restrict access to the Service from certain countries or regions.
3.Account and security
Usernames may contain Latin letters, digits and underscores and must be 3 to 32 characters long. A username must not be misleading, infringe the rights of others or contain insults.
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity in your account. If you notice suspicious activity, contact us immediately.
We may refuse registration or change a username that violates these terms.
4.How markets work
Each market is a question about a future event with two or more outcomes. You buy shares in an outcome at a price between $0 and $1. The price reflects the chance of that outcome as currently estimated by traders.
If the outcome happens, each of its shares pays out $1; if not, it becomes worthless. Before the market resolves, you can sell your shares at the current price.
Trades are made between users through the order book. The Service is not a party to trades, does not set odds and does not take bets against users.
A combo combines several outcomes into one position: it pays out only if all selected outcomes happen.
5.Orders and trades
A market order is filled immediately at the best available prices. A limit order is filled at your specified price or better and may remain in the order book until it is filled, canceled or expires.
An executed trade is final. We may cancel or adjust a trade only in the event of an obvious technical error, a system failure or a breach of these terms, and we will notify you if we do.
Displayed prices, volumes and charts are provided for convenience and may be updated with a delay.
6.Market resolution
Each market has rules: what exactly counts as the outcome, the data source and the deadline. A market resolves strictly according to these rules — based on official results or, if there are none, on a consensus of credible sources.
If an event is canceled, postponed beyond the stated deadline, or its result cannot be determined, the market resolves as stated in its rules — for example, 50-50.
We may clarify a market's rules if the event unfolds unexpectedly, but we never change their substance retroactively. A resolution decision is final once payouts are made.
7.Deposits, withdrawals and fees
Your balance is kept in US dollars; amounts on the site may be shown in your chosen currency at the current exchange rate. Deposits and withdrawals are processed through the Service's payment partners; processing times and limits are shown when you make a transaction.
Fees for trades, deposits or withdrawals, if any, are shown before you confirm the transaction.
The fee is paid by the taker — the trader whose trade is filled immediately against orders in the order book: shares × rate × price × (1 − price). The rate depends on the category (for example, 0.05 in Sports and 0.07 in Crypto); markets in the "Geopolitics" category are fee-free. The maker — the trader whose order was resting in the order book — pays no fee and receives back 15–25% of the taker fees on that market (depending on the category) in proportion to their filled orders.
Combos: the price is the product of the outcome prices; for outcomes from the same match, their correlation is taken into account. In Real mode, outcome prices are taken from traders' bets. A combo bet is placed as an order at this price and is matched when another trader takes the opposite side. You cannot set your own odds. If one of the outcomes has no bets yet, the combo price cannot be calculated and the combo cannot be placed.
A combo order is canceled automatically and the funds are returned to your balance if the first match starts, an outcome closes, or outcome prices move by more than 10%. In Real mode, combos are built only from matches that have not started yet. Combos are charged a fee at a rate of 0.05 regardless of the outcomes' categories; there is no maker rebate on combos.
If a combo outcome resolves 50-50 (for example, a match is canceled), the payout on the combo's "Yes" shares is multiplied by 0.5 for each such outcome, and the remainder goes to the "No" shares.
Sports: trades that fill immediately are executed with a 3-second delay; when a match starts, the order book is cleared — orders placed before the start are canceled and the funds are returned to your balance.
Fee rebates. Your tier (Bronze … Obsidian) is based on the weighted volume of your taker trades over the last 30 days: trade fee × category weight ÷ rate. A tier's rebate returns part of the fee paid to your account and applies to trades from the moment the tier is reached — it is not credited retroactively. Fee rebates and maker rebates are paid once a day at 00:00 UTC if they total at least $1.
Referral program: 10% of the net fees of direct referrals and 5% of indirect ones — for the first 30 days after the referral signs up or until they reach Platinum tier. Earnings are credited once the referrer's all-time volume reaches $1,000.
All program payouts combined — fee rebates, maker rebates, referral earnings and tier bonuses — do not exceed 80% of the fees received by the Service; if the limit is reached, accruals are carried over to future fees.
A new-tier bonus is credited once, when you first reach the tier, as a fee credit: it is used to pay fees on your next trades and cannot be withdrawn or transferred.
We may change tier thresholds and the size of rebates and bonuses, and may revoke rebates, bonuses and tier status for self-trading, matched trades between linked accounts and other artificial trading.
We may hold a transaction to verify its legitimacy and may refuse to withdraw funds obtained in breach of these terms.
8.Demo mode
Demo mode lets you try trading without real money: trades in it are made with a practice balance.
The practice balance and results in Demo mode have no monetary value and cannot be withdrawn or transferred to your main balance.
9.Prohibited activities
When using the Service, you may not:
- manipulate prices, including through coordinated trades or self-trading;
- trade using non-public information that you are obliged to keep confidential, or influence the outcome of an event on which a market is open;
- open multiple accounts or use someone else's account;
- use bots, scrapers or other automated tools without our written permission;
- circumvent country restrictions or other security measures;
- use the Service for money laundering, financing illegal activities or fraud;
- post illegal, offensive or misleading content or spam in comments or your profile.
10.Comments and profile
You retain the rights to your comments but allow us to display them on the Service free of charge while they are published.
Your public profile shows your username, avatar, positions, trade history and Leaderboard results. Do not post personal data — yours or anyone else's — in your profile or comments.
We may hide or remove content that violates these terms without prior notice.
11.Risks
Prices in prediction markets change quickly, and a position can lose all its value. Only invest funds you are prepared to lose.
Information on the site — market descriptions, statistics, user comments — is not investment, financial or legal advice.
You are solely responsible for your decisions and for paying taxes on any income received, where required by law.
12.Intellectual property
The site, its design, software code, texts, logo and the HoolyMarket name belong to the Service or are used by it under license. They may not be copied, modified or used for commercial purposes without our consent.
Names of teams, leagues, tournaments and companies are mentioned only to describe events and belong to their respective owners.
13.Limitation of liability
The Service is provided "as is". We strive for uninterrupted operation but do not guarantee that the Service will always be available, error-free or suitable for your purposes.
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for lost profits or indirect damages, or for failures of payment partners, telecom providers or data sources.
14.Account suspension and closure
You may close your account at any time after withdrawing your available funds.
We may restrict features, or suspend or close an account, in the event of a breach of these terms, a legal requirement or a security threat. In that case, we will try to return any funds you are entitled to, unless prohibited by law.
15.Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date of the last change is shown at the top of this document. We will notify you of material changes in advance — on the site or by email.
By continuing to use the Service after the changes take effect, you agree to the updated terms.
16.Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Russian Federation. We try to resolve disputes through negotiation: write to us and we will respond within 30 days.
If no agreement is reached, the dispute will be heard by a court at the location of the Service's operator, unless otherwise provided by law.
